Oct. 27, Just Some Trees;

Shot on Agfa Copex Rapid 50 with my 1949 Leica Ic and developed in Artemisianol (sagebrush). These are from the same roll as Return of the Leica Ic, just a few shots of trees that didn’t seem to go well with the building photos.

  2. My question is it hard to use the older leicas? I’m thinking of getting a 111f?

    1. Hi Fred, That’s kind of a difficult question to answer. There is a definite learning curve to them. I had quite the time figuring out how to load mine, but once I figured it out, it was easy. The various videos I watched weren’t all that helpful to me. I had to figure out my own way. I hope to make a video someday soon and post it.

      Other things like the shutter speed, focus and aperture are easy enough, although my Leica has no range finder, so I zone focus with it.
      The viewfinders can be a pain for someone with glasses. On my Barnack style Canon it took me a year to learn to see through it and focus easily. But I’m particularly slow at some things.

      Not to scare you off, I wouldn’t trade my Barnack style cameras for anything else, and I would recommend them even to beginners, but they are different from other cameras.
