August 25, The Sewing Room Curtains

Rebecca pointed out the lovely swaying patterns projected on the sewing room curtains by the sumac trees. After seeing them, I really wanted to get a Lumenbox shot of it, but knew I wouldn’t have much time today for a long indoor exposure in a not very brightly lit room, so I employed Roger Isaksson’s trick of using a weak ascorbic acid soak to decrease exposure time. It did it’s job, this is a two hour exposure (for an inside exposure like this, that’s not long imho) but as it did with my tests from the other day, it leveled out the color balance dramatically. I think it suits this shot though. I’ll try another exposure sans vitamin c on another day for comparisons sake.
